Celebration of Panormitis

The celebration of Panormitis on Chalki is one of the most moving and authentic moments on the island. Every year, in early November, the people of Chalki and pilgrims from the surrounding islands gather with deep devotion at the Monastery of Archangel Michael to honor their patron saint. The atmosphere is filled with the sounds of psalms, the scent of incense, and the light of candles illuminating the simple church. After the Divine Liturgy, the island celebrates with traditional songs, food, and hospitality, keeping alive the spirit of faith, unity, and tradition.
